The 2016 Indiana Junior Academy of Science (IJAS) meeting and competition will be held on Monday, November 14 on the IU Bloomington campus. Sponsored by the Indiana Academy of Science, IJAS is designed to encourage high school students to pursue an interest in science study and careers. Indiana high school teachers register their school to participate in the program and accompany their students to the competition.

New registration procedures! Please follow these instructions:
Step 1: Request registration Fees from your administration. These fees MUST be mailed to arrive no later than November 1. If you need an invoice, please email email@example.com with the number of students & adults that will be attending and I will create one to send to you. School Registration Fee is $15 and Student/Adult Fees are $9.00/per person to help cover breakfast, lunch, and snack fees.

Step 2: Register your School by filling out the online School Registration Form.
Step 3: Teachers must register by filling out the online Teacher Registration Form.
Step 4: ALL Students (competitors & observers) must register by filling out the online K-12 Student Registration Form.
Step 5: Parents & Students together must fill out the online Talent Consent Form.
Step 6: Teaches need to fill out the online IJAS Information Form.
Note: This is where you will indicate the role your students will play while at IJAS (competitor, observer, etc.)
Competitions and events at the fall meeting include:
Outstanding Junior Scientist Competition – Requires teacher nomination and additional paperwork.
Research Paper Presentation Competition – Requires teacher nomination and additional paperwork.
Issues Competition – Be sure to list your presenter and judge on the IJAS Information Form
Problem-Solving Exam – Be sure to list your competitors on the IJAS Information Form
Science Olympiad Event – Be sure to list your competitors on the IJAS Information Form
Keynote, Tours & Demonstrations – Specialized tours and demonstrations of some of IU's world-renowned research facilities are a tradition. You are encouraged to bring observers to the meeting. They can participate in the tours and demonstrations. Please remember to list all observers on the IJAS Information Form and have them fill out the K-12 Student Registration Form online.
